The Retreat services are available between 7:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Members and their families may choose the days of attendance, however, it is highly recommended that a commitment be made to participation on specific days and, at a minimum of three times per week. Activities and programs provide members with opportunities for enhanced physical and cognitive health, confidence, self-esteem, and self-expression.
Each member has an Individualized Care Plan to promote improvement, maintenance, or delay in decline of physical, social, and mental functioning. The staff, member, and care partner meet a minimum of every six months to discuss the service needs of members. Any change in behavior, health, or performance prompts additional meetings and adjustments to the Care Plan. Staff monitors members for changes in behavior or health status and the family/care partner is notified appropriately.
The Retreat staff serves lunch, which is catered in from state-approved vendors and approved by a nutritionist. Additionally, morning and afternoon snacks and beverages are provided and at other times as needed. Arrangements for special dietary need or choice accommodation will be determined during the initial interview and Care Plan, as well as at any time should the member’s dietary needs change. Qualified staff provide personal care and supervise medications taken during program hours. Ad Hoc amenities are available, such as massage therapy, music therapy and beauty salon services.
